Vastu tips for Bathroom

Vaastu-Shastra principles provide important guidelines for the placement and design of toilets in a home, impacting the health and prosperity of its occupants. Adhering to these principles ensures harmony and well-being. Here are key rules to consider:

  • The ideal placement for a toilet is in the North-west direction, with attached toilets also positioned here.
  • Alternatively, toilets can be constructed in the South-east direction.
  • Avoid placing toilets in the North-east and East directions.
  • Ensure toilets are located at a safe distance from the kitchen and dining areas.
  • W.C should be positioned on the Southeast or Northwest side, facing North or South.
  • Avoid situating the W.C directly below a staircase.
  • Larger windows should face North, with smaller ones on the West.
  • Toilet doors should be placed on the Eastern side.
  • Mirrors should be placed on the East or North walls.
  • Ensure the W.C is not directly in front of the bathroom door.
  • If there is an almirah, it should be placed on the Southwest side of the toilet.
  • The bathroom floor should slope towards the North and East to ensure proper drainage.
  • Washing machines should be placed in the Southeast or Northwest directions.
  • Use light shades for toilet walls, avoiding dark colors.
